Featured Furniture: Lax Series Bookcase, Dining Table and Bench
Mash Studios is a relatively young company, yet they've grown quickly with the popularity of their LAX Series furniture line. Regina wrote about the LAX Series wall mounted shelf
back in 2007. Previously, the furniture line has solely been represented by other furniture stores. However, beginning April 1st, Mash Studios will open their first store, stocked with their complete LAX Series, PCH Series, and local art and accessories.Dee, Mash Studios' delightful employee, informed us that the furniture line fits seamlessly into lofts or small apartments. The wall mounted desk is great for making the most out of your living quarters. We love the urban and sustainable qualities of the entire line. Did we mention how they love to support local artists and have their artwork for sale in the Mash Studios showroom. Also, we personally really enjoyed the mix of clean line neutral furniture with vibrant color art and accessories. Our favorite item in the store is the PCH Canopy Bed, which instantly sparks ideas for one day designing our dream beach home.
When we shop for furniture, we visit showrooms which have the style of furniture pieces we love. However, when we visit the store and if we are greeted by friendly salespeople, we are more inclined to make a purchase from their showroom vs. another showroom. Not to mention that we have a real soft spot for small independently owned stores. To round up our overall experience at Mash Studios - friendly, approachable employees, well-designed, affordable furniture, and a store that is infused in the local community.
Mash Studios is not only a furniture store, but also a design studio. The building next to the Mash Studios furniture store is their design lab where they create custom furniture for commercial installations. They have designers at hand to implement creative design solutions.
If you are on the hunt for sustainable furniture or simply want to meet a few cute, hipster guys who love to surf, then why not stop by Mash Studios.
