Low Lounge. Belgian designer Maarten van Severen designed the LCP for Kartell in 2000. Created with a single piece of molded transparent plastic which spirals around itself, the lounge chair is surprisingly springy. In the collection at MoMA, the LCP embodies the look of Kartell and their use of transparent plastic...

Available in four colors at Hive Modern and HighBrow Furniture. Consistently listed for $1974.

I can only imagine what the pool of sweat would be like after sitting in these beauties for more that 15 minuets. It is good that you put in a link for the cleaning kit as you tell us about this eye candy.
Love the design but I agree, sticky situations ahead.
Hmm, I am also wondering what the view will be like if anyone less than Kate Moss size in proportion sits on one of these wearing, say, a halter top and short shorts. As with those handbags that display your tampon and condom collections to the world, transparency is not always your friend!
I'm confused. Is this meant to be an outdoor/beach chair? I assumed it was for indoors, until I got to the comments.
eeeck, exactly. I ate at a cafe with transparent Lucite chairs and even the supermodel types don't look so hot with their bums smooshed up against the plastic.
I think I must be missing something too. As long as you're not sitting in it naked in the summer, I don't think sweat should be too much of an issue.
Anne - it is meant for indoor use. I was confused by all the sweat-talk too!
"Why waste effort continually complaining about a blog you seem to frequent on a daily basis?" is perhaps a better question.
And, um, so does sustainable bamboo cause less ass-sweat? I'm curious.
MrGreen relax.
You never emailed. So the war wages on, baby.
