Umbra can be a life-saver with their full line of curtain rods and window hardware. Now, their new Anywhere telescoping curtain system enables consumers to hang a curtain nearly anywhere. The nickel-colored hardware uses tension to stabilize itself as a window treatment or room divider. The swing-arm rod is also height adjustable for a wide range of space solutions...

Each unit is height adjustable from 70-120". The swing arm adjusts in length from 20" - 36" and its height is adjustable to fall between 70" - 120". This is a very versatile piece of hardware! A single unit is $94.50 from Umbra.

What a lifesaver for people who rent! I hate putting holes in my walls for curtain brackets, etc. I'm already seriously thinking about getting a set for my bedroom and a set to hide the TV I never watch in the living room. Ikea sells floor length fabric panels that would probably be perfect with this. Thanks for the tip!
great with sheers, marimekko, etc.!
Good idea and reasonably-priced too.
A follow-up: I bought three of these systems. The main rod is not very sturdy and the swing arm droops downward. We tried everything we could to make the swing arm, and the curtain, hang straight, but unfortunately, I believe it is in the design.
However, I will say that Umbra was very helpful and friendly. I would shop with them again, despite the fact that this product didn't work out.
These seem to have been discontinued. Does anyone know where I can find them or something similar? Thanks!
