It's not a color combo you see very often, but when done right hot pink and dark blue can look surprisingly chic. We found a few photos of pink paired with hues ranging from navy to royal to dark purple-blues. All of them have a sense of edgy elegance...

These are a bit suppressing for me. The Rug Company blue wall is beautiful..the rest are just blah and give me a tummy ache like in need if pepto bismol. The Notting Hill living rm is depressing, but the pink sofa is quit fun.
I much prefer the more dramatically hued rooms to the pastels and dusty mauves...
I'm with bepsf.
It might just be my computer, but most of these look purplish. And all of them definitely look "dusty".
I can see how blue would look nice with a real hot pink though. Balancing it without losing any of the awesome.
My space is hot pink and light, sky (powder) blue! As I said on the comments of this post, pink can look grownup with the right elements. It's funny how in one post, AT will have a conniption over something, and in the next post showcase how trendy the same concept is.
Heh.
Can anyone help me identify the sofa in the "Notting Hill Home by Ilse Crawford" photo? It's very Togo-ish (and is hopefully made in colors other than pink)
I too am *loving* that sofa, linea5. Only I think I want it in pink.
I bet it's custom and costs a zillion dollars.
I actually love each of these pictures. There's something wonderfully subversive about those floral paintings (which, to me, look like thrift store paintings) and that great floral rug.
Jezebella, I'll bet it is too! I covet the Togo but I almost like this more....
Not a huge fan of the muted pinks and blues but navy and pink done right looks stunning.
