Brighten Up. We have a rather dark apartment and are always on the lookout for bright, simple lamps that will stand out against our dark paint color. This week we've ran across two VERY similar lamps from different retailers. First is CB2's Bauhaus Table Lamp (available in white only). Second is IKEA's Kulla Table Lamp for $49.99 (also available in red and black). Both feature a 3-way switch. They are nearly identical in size...

They remind us of our dream lamp, the Sven LED Lamp available for $475 from DWR (the black is on sale for $298). We're not sure where we are going with this, other than a confused, inconclusive state. Thank goodness it is Friday!

I have (and love!) the ada table lamp from CB2:

I think it's meant to be a knock off of the Spun lamp:

Bauhaus and Kulla are also available in floor versions, but only in white.
Anyone know of a lamp like this that comes in a floor model in black? The original (Spun) seems to be the only one that is available this way, but I need two of them, and that's too rich for my blood..
Kulla floor lamp is available in black, now.
