Andreas (if you are reading this), I am curious to know how the porch paint is holding up with the foot traffic? We are thinking about painting our wood floors as well instead of staining them (which takes forever).

I notice that the woodgrains still show through the porch paint which is excellent. What brand did you use? how many coats? Did you have to sand the floors before painting or just paint right on the floor?

could AT compile from their archive photographs of small computer nooks? i like the one in zoka's house tour.. small and yet clearly still useful. its my personal #1 problem - can't sacrifice my desk as my laptop's not good enough for photo processing; but i want it to look better.

The red chair you are asking about; I grew up in one of those in the early seventies. In Norwegian it is called "Tripp Trapp Stol".
In other words "step stair chair" or something...
