We're really impressed by The Toronto Standard 's video series "Made in Toronto," which features the work of artisans, bakers and designers who produce handmade goods in the city. If you're a lighting junky, you will like this video on the custom work of Eclectic Revival, located on Dundas Street in the Junction district.
Open since 1985, Eclectic Revival carries a wide range of period lighting and restores oil, electric, gas and combination fixtures. The video shows the store and the repairing if an old-fashioned halogen lightbulb lamp.

The video automatically starts playing when the page comes up; can that be disabled? (Some of us read during breaks at work!)
Gorgeous lights, though. Thanks for sharing!
Hate the autoplay, people. Is this a setting I can change?
love eclectic revival's stuff. pete did some custom pendants for us over the summer and i'm eying that exit bulb that you can see at 00:25s.
Brillant video!
One of the basic tenants of good web/software design is that the USER needs to feel in control of their experience. Auto play does the opposite. I don't want to harp on AT about usability, I love you guys, but you need to get it together and FAST. So you will understand what I am talking about, my experience is below
I was totally confused by the autoplay. I'm on a laptop, so the video is below "the fold." I also tend to read the headlines on the main page and open each new piece in new tabs. This meant I had to search the multiple tabs - up and down - for the noise.
When it started playing I didn't even realize it was coming from my computer. I kept looking at my sister to see if her phone was making the noise!
I'm against autoplay for those reasons, PLUS it takes up bandwidth that I would rather put towards something else.
