Name: Hayes (6 months)
Location: Indian Trail, NC
My husband and I knew from the very beginning that we weren't going to find out the sex of the baby, so I knew that I wanted a nursery that would work for either a boy or a girl.
I also knew that I didn't want to use any of the usual neutral colors you see in baby bedding, clothing, etc (i.e., yellows, greens, creams). So I went for a dark charcoal gray with bright white accents that pop against the heavy color. Since I knew babies really respond to bright colors, I wanted the accents to provide pops of strong color, so I went with fluorescents rather than primary colors.
When we pulled everything together — finds from Etsy, decor items from IKEA, rug from Crate & Barrel, cubbies from Target — we felt the modular bookshelves we'd picked up from IKEA were a little boring. So my husband and I took some Farrow & Ball wallpaper that we had and wallpapered some drywall with it and then nailed it to the back of the bookshelves to give it some personality. It's probably my most favorite part of the nursery, along with the chevron-pattern crib skirt.
Now that Hayes is here, the room fits her perfectly. She has a bubbly personality and loves to look at all of the colors and patterns.

Charcoal grey, neon lime green, a beautiful blue and lots of white... can't do wrong in my book, so I love your room !
I wonder if this nursery has lots of natural light or not: I'm planning a charcoal grey nursery for my daughter, but her windows are full north, and the room doesn't get many direct sunlight. I wonder if the grey is a good idea or not. Any idea ?
I'm not a Mom but I have to say that this is my favorite nursery to date yet. I love the choosen colors and how you pulled all of this together. The simple prints are the wall speak volumes. Really lovely..job well done!
This room is adorable! And I have been looking for a glider/ottoman just like that one. Any help on where I could find one?
Great job!

Love the room - really well done! I'm in Indian Trail as well great to see a post from our little neck of the woods on here!
Those Ikea Expedit shelves can do no wrong - I love seeing all the ways people customize them.
Lovely! I always go wrong with greys. Any ideas as to paint swatch used for this room?
