Blog browsing yesterday, we saw this cute Monogrammed Reese chair on Shelteriffic, along with an accompanying post on the surprising virtues of shopping for furniture among the teen set, specifically, from Pottery Barn Teen.
With a post titled, "Is it wrong to love a teen catalog?", it may be a funny thought and a self-conscious choice to purchase from Pottery Barn Teen, but we'd never actually checked it out. And so we did. In addition to the monogrammed chair and rose patterned sheets featured on Shelterrific, we came across lighting, rugs, accessories, and a slew of furniture choices.
We say, if it's something you love and can afford, buy away. And that doesn't mean you have to admit to where it came from...
Through Jan. 31, PB Teen is having a white sale, in addition to continuous sales on anything and everything.

I love PBteen. Check out their sale lighting -- I bought their "magnet light" in white, and it's currently hanging on a Three by Three Magnetic board (in olive) over my futon. Super cute, great quality, and only $16!
I really like the designs of PB Teen. My problem is the colors. My apartment has a much more subdued color scheme. I know, I know, there's nothing wrong with a splash of color, but my apartment just isn't ready for those particular shades of pink and turquoise. They also have the dismaying tendency to include puff balls on their stuff.
On a related note, though, by beloved bedside lamp is from PB Kids! In a rather tame white.
I was just about to ask who exactly the market for PB Teen is, because if I remember my teen years correctly, My friends and I could have cared less about furniture- all our disposable money went towards clothes, and our parents certainly weren't out hipping up our rooms for us. Seeing the comments so far though, I'm guessing teens aren't the primary buyers of PB Teen anyway . . . :)
i too wonder who buys this stuff - i guess things have changed since i was a teenager. even the wealthy girls i knew then still had their childhood furniture. the most we did was paint the walls...
