When we need extra seating, our go-to move consists of footstools and chairs from the kitchen. But we're really starting to admire the poof--and its design quality. Squishy and comfy, they can be easily moved around at a moments notice. Ten ways to use them after the jump!

Shown above, top row, left to right:

  • Drape an afghan over your pouf for color and texture
  • Have one close by to use as a footstool
  • We'd use ours for extra seating when there are a surplus of guests
  • Display a pair in front of a non-working fireplace to create a vignette
  • If you're afraid of painting, use a pouf in the living room for a pop of color

  • A group of poufs are great for creating seating when dining around a coffee table
  • Add a tray on top of a larger pouf to make a coffee table or workspace
  • Since poufs are squishy and are without hard edges, they're safe for kids
  • A large pouf can stand on its own to act as extra seating or a place for items to land
  • You can always make your own pouf if you're crafty and can knit
