You know what room I'm most excited about decorating after our recent move? It's the smallest room in the house: the powder room. Because it's so small, my husband and I have decided to go bold. That's all we know so far, but this gallery over at House Beautiful is full of inspiration as we start thinking about the details:
We're leaning toward the tiniest, busiest rooms which I've pulled here to share with you. For many more ideas (some of them a little more subdued), head on over to the full gallery at House Beautiful.

Love the idea of bold in a powder room- I think they're little jewel boxes. Your guests always remember big impact in small space.
Wow, that blue is blowing my mind. What paint color is that?
Loving the blue - Very much like the blue in my master bathroom!
Wow! I second the "jewel box" thinking. I love the bright blue with the window over the sink. But the one with the wooden lattice work is mysterious and cozy at the same time, and faintly masculine too.
i would love to make a bold statement in my 1 and only bathroom. unfortunately, it has very uninspiring vintage (aka old) blue tiles throughout, including little floor tiles
Love the reindeer towels in the last one.
Love the lattice one.
But all of these examples have one major feature mine doesn't -- natural light. Mine is landlocked and a stairwell runs behind it where a window might otherwise be. (No way to have an interior window, either.) Makes a VAST difference!
Love the third, with the intricate wood screen, but I'd hate to clean the soap flecks/dust off! Wouldn't put it near the sink.
I like the green wallpaper & I normally don't even like wall paper! It gives it that outdoors in quality.
It seems a bit unfinished with the country looking wood however. I would have definitely painted the vanity white like the mirror.
