Powerwise is a neat little docking station designed by by Johanna Strand and Asa Elmstam. If you have a lot of gadgets to charge, a docking station is the best way to manage them. In one compact space, you are able to charge all or most of your devices.
The Swedish designers collaborated and have come up with a solution to the over-consumption of most chargers, that are most of the time plugged into a wall socket and continue using up electricity, even though they aren't charging anything. Powerwise houses 8 electrical outlets which are hidden in a box-like and lidded table top. The entire unit is plugged into a wall socket, which each internal outlet having its own on-off power switch, enabling users to manage their charging. Powerwise's green cord can be unplugged and hidden in one of its table legs.
This is an innovative way of managing your charging needs. On top of that, Powerwise serves as a table, which is always useful. The design in itself isn't complicated, but it's efficient and useful, which makes it something good to use at home. The simple lines also remind us that something like this could be easily created at home by someone with the right set of skills.
