After the big to-do we made prepping for our most recent guests, we failed to have a convenient spot for them to house their suitcases in the bedroom. We ended up having to create a make-shift spot on the vanity--but the location was less than desirable.
For future house guests, we're definitely going to pick up a luggage stand (or two). Not only do they fold up to save space, they make items in the suitcase super easy to access.

Indeed - A tray would work just as well, and be something you could use in other ways too.
Thanks for the reminder! My new house has a guest room and I've been meaning to get a luggage stand.
This is the one I just ordered. It's utilitarian, but I like that it's got that "backstop" to minimize suitcases hitting my freshly-painted walls.

This is a very thoughtful thing to have in a guest bedroom. I always feel sloppy putting my suitcase on the floor when I'm staying in someone's house. My parents have a large trunk at the foot of the bed in the room I stay in when I visit that serves this same purpose but looks beautiful when not in use.
Now, to remember someday when I HAVE a guest bedroom...
This is a great idea. We had guests a while ago who had to put their luggage on the floor. One hot afternoon we discovered a huge ant train working its way into the luggage--I think if the bags had been off the floor, this wouldn't have happened!
I have a large antique trunk at the foot of the bed in the guest room. It's great storage for me as well as being a good place for my guest's luggage.
I love the idea of a luggage stand, though.
I have never understood why these things cost as much as they do. Even the cheap discount store kind -- just a couple of pieces of metal tubing and some nylon webbing -- cost about as much as a patio chair at those same stores.
My mom brought one with her on a recent visit to my new house..I thought what a clever little housewarming gift! It's now in use in my guest bedroom and I can't wait for my flight attendant friends to drop in and we can have a giggle about my little hotel room. : )
love it, Dorothy!
