Kids are like hummingbirds. They flit and flutter and the longest they sit still, especially during an outside activity, it for a little hydration or a moment to catch their breath. They don't always require the giant chair with dueling cup holders and fold-up ottoman (that may or may not connect to their Mp3 player). If you're looking for affordable outdoor chairs for your kids, considering making these diy camp stools that won't break the bank and are fully customizable.

Elizabeth of Simple Simon & Company has been busy crafting these chairs for her kids. They're simple, easy to do (even if you're not handy with tools), and can be dressed up or down as much as you'd like. You can change the look with different fabrics, spray paint, waterproof them, or even make them out of artificial turf!

You'll only need a handful of supplies and even if you've never worked with PVC plumbing pipe before, it's ridiculously forgiving and inexpensive enough to keep making chair after chair — because you know as soon as your kids have one, their friends will want one too!
