Name: Prime
Location: Berlin, Germany
Our home is typical Berliner — called "Altbau" and made in 1890 with high ceilings and a wooden floor. I live here with my fiancee Luise, architect and law student. We love chairs, lamps and details…
IKEA Germany has already featured our home on IKEA FAMILY LIVE | Prime & Luise.
Thanks Prime & Luise!

love the altbauwohnungen style of berlin! what's also interesting is the difference between the AT house call photos & those of Ikea, which make it look like a totally different place. the ikea shots clean it up a lot, making it look more polished & rather standardized. really shows how photos are a staged construction.
I love the wall hanging in the last picture. Thank you for sharing pictures of your lovely home!
I love this space! It reminds me of my home here in Brooklyn: great details all mixed together into something that reads cozy and lived in. Terrific!
Beautiful space. I especially love how the shelf in the office room is held up by stools -- really interesting and a cool idea for a rental.
Very cozy. Is it weird that that first pic reminds me of Georg's apartment in The Lives of Others? Maybe it was the Germany thing that made me think of it.
I love the space too. It's true that it looks so different on the IKEA website. Love the plants and the details. Wunderschoen!
Liebe Gruesse,

Love your space. What both sets of photos show, actually, is how much better a home looks with people in it! You really get a sense of how you're space is put to use when you see it in action.
Sorry, meant to say "your" space.
I love to see European homes!
This place—in both versions—feels friendly.
My husband and I live in a German Altbauwohnung much like yours. I would love to see more European apartments featured on AT in general. Nice place!
Beautiful. I'm so striving to find a nice and bright Altbau for my boyfriend and me in Düsseldorf.
Also love the idea with the shelf on the stools and the shelves as a bench :)
Thanks for a post from Berlin...Tolle Wohnung. : )
now this i would love to stay in.. i love the kitchen area..
cool place...nicely furnished but I dont like that Ikea bed....
hi you all, thank you very much for your comments. he mikey, actually we replaced it with a 50ies like bed from muji. hi artbybabz, if you one day plan to stay a weekend in berlin, let me know. I have a cool apartment for rent. Just check www.weekend-in-berlin.de
altbau rules!
Lieblich!
Lots of lovely details used well in such a small space. Thanks for sharing.
Lieblich, Tolle Wohnung, wunderschoen. Didnt know that you american guys know so many lovely german words. I thought, german language is only famous for 'hard-skill' words like blitzkrieg, kindergarten, gesundheit, rucksack.
I believe there is a picture of a beautiful red/white framed tapestry or painting in one of your rooms (featured today on an International Rooms post - 4.9.10). Did you construct this yourself? Is this available somewhere? I love it! Your home is creative and beautiful.
Hi Mrs Milla, I am sorry, but I don't get what you mean?
This is beautiful! I would love to live in Berlin one of these days. There is nothing better than an altbau!!!
