Good LEGO storage and organization is good for your health. We've heard from friends with older kids that organizing LEGO pieces becomes very important. Look what Clare over at Mondo Cherry used to organize her boys' extensive LEGO collection.
Clare used a vintage printers tray she had around the house as a display and storage piece for LEGO figurines. Mounted on the wall, it's a perfect spot to store these tiny pieces without taking up floor space. If this has inspired you and you want to buy a printers tray, check out Etsyor a flea market near you.

Good use of a spare type case, which is what it's actually called, FYI.
i use a old wooden coke crate hung on the wall!!!
I found a great minifig storage solution on at http://www.etsy.com/shop/DansPlugsandLures.It's a wall mounted shelf with built in 2x2 plates so the minifigs don't fall out. (There aren't any currently listed but you can see them under sold items, and it looks like there's a new model that's more like bleacher stands which is also cool.) My son loves these shelves--he has 2 and they easily store 100 minifigs.
Modtramp--- thank you for calling it! I love typesetting, and wish I had my own vandercook :)
What a great idea! My husband has an extensive Pez collection that would look great in something like this.
