Print Party with Lotta Jansdotter

Last Saturday, ceramicist and textile darling Lotta was in town for a printmaking party at the Craft Gym. (Her latest book, Lotta Prints: How to Print with Anything, from Potatoes to Linoleum, was just released a few weeks ago.) We stopped by and were amazed by the turnout and the beautiful designs that people had made. One of the coolest things about the evening: Lotta requested that small pieces be left behind for inclusion in a quilt. Tomorrow night, when a similar event takes place at her Brooklyn studio, she'll make the same request so that a Brooklyn quilt can also be whipped up.

In case you missed the San Francisco gathering, below are some photos from the Craft Gym:

Someone was clever enough to bring in a pair of pillowcases to decorate

If you're hoping to check out Lotta's Brooklyn party, the details are as follows:

When: Friday, June 13; 5-8pm
Where: Lotta's Studio,119 8th Street, #215 (between 2nd and 3rd Ave)

And you can pick up Lotta Prints on the Chronicle Books website. All copies that were available at the Craft Gym sold out!
