James Plant is a 22-year-old recent graduate from Buckinghamshire New University and an award-winning new designer at this year's 100% Design show in London. His Private Dining is a fold-up dining room "inspired by pop-up books" that's a mere 17 cm deep...

Private dining unfolds into a sturdy dining table and seating made of oak and can be personalized with wallpaper as seen here, then put away on its hinges when not in use.

i love this actually. i would personalize it more, maybe stain the table darker, but i love the idea.
i live in a small condo and, though i have a dining area set aside, i rarely use it. would be nice to be able to stow it away and save the floor space.
Great idea---I would like to see the table and chairs done in a more interesting style.
Loves it. It seems easy enough to switch the furniture stain, door style, and wallpaper.
Brilliant! (The doors are horrid, though.)
Oooh! You could also have a fold-down panel on one of the doors to use as a small desk when it's not a DR.
I'm gonna go build me one RIGHT NOW!! (After I finish the kitchen remodel. Boo.)
So cool!
Add this to a murphy bed, an armoir, and one of those stow-away kitchens and you could have an apartment of all doors!
ah, but where all those doors lead...
part of the nook/niche theme I think
love it :-)
crazy! this is awesome
OMG. It's a murphy dining room.
