These are not your grandmother's sheets. Florals can be both contemporary and traditional and are offered in various colorways. I used to stay away from florals because they reminded me of interior fabric patterns found in my grandmother's home. However, I realized it was quite naive to rule out florals as an entire category of prints and found a handful of floral print sheet sets and bedding that I would look great in a contemporary bedroom.

i effing love modern floral. found a sweet duvet on Urban Outfitters on clearance and couldn't pass it up! i've had it for a couple months and still feel super glam when i walk in my bedroom
My mom cleaned out my grandpa's house and he had two of the BEST patterned sheet sets from the 70s. I've been using the material to make quilts :-) I'm glad to see some companies are still making cool patterned sheet sets, although some of the prices are outrageous.
Amy Butler does some fantastic modern florals. I have bedding in "Dream Poppy" & "Dancing Paisley" - I love it!
I like #6, the paisleyed one, the best.
my mom is 77 and she would totally use those sheets. I have to wonder what that exactly means; "not your grandma's sheets"
just a pet peeve of mine.
Man, I still love mine. No-name brand and cheap as all get out ($30 for a double/full duvet cover and pillow case), and it's bright and happy and looks fantastic with bright yellow sheets and warm purple walls.
