Q: I'm working on a renovation project that involves quite a bit of painting and am thinking about hiring a professional. Can the Apartment Therapy readers in Chicago help out with any recommendations for good insured pro painters?

We used him where I used to work. Great job!
I am using & have had friends use Gabriel Professional Painting 773-812-9738. He is really willing to work with you on price. Also, he is repairs the walls before painting- a must if you're in an older space. Good luck!
Get an Angie's List membership and you'll have your pick of great painters. Plus, you'll have access to lots of other highly rated contractors. Where I live (Pittsburgh) a yearly membership is about $70. The peace of mind we get every time we hire a contractor (which happens several times a year) is well worth the annual membership fee. Good luck!
I have to absolutely recommend with 100% confidence ThompsonHoliday Painting. The owner, Wade, is AMAZING. He is a very efficient painter who respects your time. He said he would be here at 8am to start, and my buzzer rang at exactly 8am. He painted an entire bedroom and bathroom in a single eight hour day. He used top of the line paint, prepped, and cleaned up expertly. The paint job is flawless. See my review on Yelp. Good luck!

Here is the phone number as well: (773) 841-4885
Painting in Partnership, based out of Palatine, but I believe will do some work in the city. Mario and his crew uses ben. moore paint and his wife, Rita, is a color consultant if you need it.

I love you, WrigleyHogsTheBed! I needed a painter, too, and TH is right up the street from me! THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome BigTab! It was so hard for me to find a painter because Yelp (my go to source) had hardly any painter reviews. I went with TH because he had four great reviews, most of anyone at the time, and I am so glad I did. You'll love him!
