Mario Salvucci designer of Progettolanterne began his design career in jewelry in 1982. After gathering acclaim in jewelry and accessories with editorials such as Vogue and Elle he began expanding his field in fabrics and interiors. In 2003 he returned home to Italy and began his lamp collection.
Though he experimented with different materials, in the end he came back to his first love, metal, where his series "Electric flowers" was born. The flower inspired, laser cut aluminmum lanterns, it appears, are only available in Italy but there is contact information on his website.
