We love this idea! Designer Cristina Toledo has created a barnacle-like storage system that takes advantage of the often-overlooked corners of a room...

With a swing down door to conceal whatever it is you are storing, the triangular corner storage works in any corner space. Multiple units could be mounted to the wall in a tower to take even more advantage of a corner. We'd love to see this concept by Cristina Toledo become a reality. Via: notcot.org.

interesting....but for me storage is about flat surfaces and visibility, not bins. i don't have excess green pillows and blankets in need of hiding. i imagine things will get lost and forgotten below the "v" and access is a problem here.
i don't have anything i'd want to "pile away" though i'll admit to doing so for rush company clean-ups.
Now that's an interesting concept.
Brilliant.
neat idea, but not practical for high ceilings. mine are 9ft - i'd need a ladder every time i wanted to reach it.
I would think that is actually MORE practical for tall ceilings...it will have less effect on the perceived size of the room and it would be great for off-season, little-used items.
Wow, gonna have to vote "no" on this.
This reminds me of the nets they sell for the corners of little kids' rooms to hold stuffed animals. Except it's a more grown up version.
I could see this working in a very modern room - but definitely not a space with mouldings, etc.
weird and interesting.
not for everyone's design tastes, obviously, (including me), but interesting and original. i think it's a really good idea.
Awesome, and it protects you from Hounds of Tindalos!
Until you open it Matie... Until you open it.
not bad. nothing for small rooms, i guess - it just would give it a crowded feeling. i can imagine using this, though.
Why not just make a soffit and some ikea cabinet doors to put on the front. This way you could have more storage in something more traditional.
it makes me wonder about how it changes the acoustics in the room...assuming there were more than one in a room.
Interesting option for seasonal storage on my shortwall with the couch, but I think I need to second baltimorerowhouse's suggestion of a soffit.
I would like it better if it just housed a light bulb and lit up.
I can't decide if this is too weird or totally cool. Fine line between the two.
Matie, you are hysterical. ;-)
Another project that belongs in the "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" category.
I mean...really...be serious...
interesting to look at---everyone would want to know what it is or does and would want a demonstration.
lmao @ matie
