Just in time for Bittersweet Month, a line of green bakeware and coffee accessories. The green trend doesn't end, does it? (There are worse things to complain about.)

Something I never thought to consider was that my brightly colored ceramic bakeware might be a tad toxic.

Turns out, surprise surprise, there's something to worry about. It's all about the coloring agents.

Pure by Chantal is a line of bakeware and tea and coffee accessories that uses a more "green" manufacturing process that reduces the environmental impact of ceramic production by up to 50 percent by not using any coloring agents in its glazes. The clay is fired with a clear, natural glaze, which leaves a plain vanilla-colored surface above the clay, with a few pretty little flecks here and there.

We're loving the Short & Stout Mugs and the ramekins right now, given all this Bittersweet action. Come summer, with berries and stone fruits abound, we'll be adding the 9" Pie Dish to our collection.

The Pure line is available on Chantal's website and ranges in price from $15 for a set of four ramekins, to $48 for a set of for latte mugs with lids.
