I think purple is often ignored. Color palettes associated with seasons rarely ever seem to give purple a chance and it's rare that you find someone besides a tween that swears by the color purple. Hopefully this roundup changes a few minds and helps to have more of us embrace hues of lavender, violet, & plum!

Agreed, purple is often ignored. It is such a beautiful, elegant color that deserves more attention then it gets. I am just happy i came across this. I know my personal assistant LOVES the color purple. She will die when she sees this. She did say she wanted to redecorate her room! :)
I love Magenta and Purple - I see both colors in the pictures and to me they are different colors. My accent wall in my studio is Magenta and I love it!

Wah! The purple headboard comes in every size BUT Queen! no fair!
I feel like every fall some hard to pronounce shade of purple gets touted as the it color. As much as I love purple, once I moved out of my childhood bedroom I found it a difficult hue to incorporate into a space. Not that I'll stop trying.
I rather like that crystal dining chair, despite my indifference to the ghost chairs. And they're stackable! ... if only they weren't $200 a pop. >.>
I love purple but am pretty particular about them. Designers rarely seem to use the precise hues I like.
Oh man THANK YOU! I adore all shades of purple. Currently I have a magenta/plum rug, dark plum pillows, and wine bedsheets in my studio with gray and white accessories. It totally works without looking childish.
Also, this is my dream chair from C&B: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/furniture/daybeds-chaises/scarlet-chaise/s674560
The pic doesn't do it justice, it is just a stunning shade of burgundy. Too bad I hate sitting on velvet!
I don't like purple at all but I guess it is better than beige.
Purple is tricky. I like some purples, but wouldn't want to use purple beyond the bed and bath. My husband wants purple in every room. We compromise on purple accessories that can be switched out easily, such as throw pillows and throws.
