We'd be lying if we said we never got into tiffs about where to/how to store our video game consoles, games, and controllers. In this day and age, it seems like part of the territory when cohabiting.

Luckily for us, we have the IKEA Lack TV stand that allows for our PS3, Wii and controllers to be placed on the bottom shelf. We keep them neatly tucked away so that they aren't obtrusive or in the way when we aren't using them.
Unfortunately, not everyone has ample storage in their communal areas where video games are played and could probably use an easy solution to help keep items out of the way. The Wii Pedestal Base is made from clear acrylic and allows for Wii mote storage beneath it, as well as Wii console and game storage above.
The Wii console and games are sandwiched between two acrylic ends that hold them in place. The Wii Pedestal Base is meant to fit in most areas and is available for $24.95.
We love this, but it would be a rather easy DIY project. My brother made a napkin holder out of acrylic in middle school, so how hard could this be?

Now just put a 4-controller induction charger under the pedestal and you have a pretty tight/neat solution and no need to swap batteries. I wonder if there are any that fit:

I think a DIY hack might be the way to go - I have two Wii wheels and this wouldn't have a place for them.
But then again, I live alone, so I can pile my toys in the middle of the floor and nobody can tell me otherwise! :)
