Check out one of Wallpapers latest interactive floor plans, a rural Vermont family retreat by Boston-based architect, Kyu Sung Woo. The Putney house, located on 250 isolated acres, is completely off the grid and powered by roof solar panels. Using a sort of New England vernacular palette, the house consists of cedar siding and corrugated metal on its various volumes...
The view and landscape are the real jewels of the site and the house is situated to take full advantage of them. We like the almost outdoor kitchen / dining space that pushes the feeling of being in the landscape. Head over to Wallpaper to get the full tour of the house.
We're not sure if it's some clever photographic trickery or if the house is really filled with that many LCW Eames chairs...they look like rabbits hopping around the house, gazing out the windows.

Minimalism sure is boring...
What you call boring, I call beautiful.
This wouldn't be nearly as beautiful without the view. Another good example of a successful indoor/outdoor line blur.
how is this house boring? so its a little sparsely furnished, but who needs furniture when you have those surroundings? i think its a great design- has great form, volume. love the use of vernacular farm/ barn materials.
i love the view, but the house (or at least, this room) is too bland for my taste.
Not a lot to go on but, the view is breathtaking.
I adore it. Any chance anyone knows the name/manufacturer of the wood stoves?
Stoves look like Rais made in Denmark (rais.com). Want one.
There's a lot to love here. I'd prefer a bit of subtle color inside.
This must be the most serene house ever. It's absolutely stunning. Warm and inviting in spite of the sparse furnishings.
