It feels like we've been waiting forever for summer in Melbourne. The weather keeps teasing us, but it does finally feel like the sun is on it's way. So it seems good timing to mention that the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art is currently presenting an exhibition covering the work of 22 contemporary Queensland architects. The website is full of great images and links to daydream about summer living for those of us stuck down south.

If you're in the area it looks like it would be great to check out, it runs to 23 November. Have to admit we didn't automatically equate Queensland with inspiring architecture, but we stand corrected. We'd move in to some of these places in a heartbeat. The dwellings share the common theme of bringing the outside inside, which makes sense if you live in a tropical climate and have amazing views. Follow the individual architect firm links here for more drool worthy images. Has anyone seen this exhibition?
