Yesterday we talked about living life without a dryer. It sparked quite the conversation as most who commented have been line drying for years! To help things dry even faster, one reader suggested these quick drying towels. Check out this find from JCPenny.

Although fast drying towels aren't something new — they've been around in the camping and sports worlds for sometime — they haven't exactly been decor friendly. In the past they have either resembled something you use on your car or it sports a brand or drink logo.

Apartment Therapy reader RuthieatCommunityForklift suggests these towels from JCPenny that dry in far less time than your average fluffy post-shower towel. These towels have a different weave which gives them the same amount of fluffiness — but with less fabric — thus allowing them to dry faster.

There are several different varieties: solid colors, whites with stripes and so forth. They usually run around $8-$12 a towel but go on sale frequently (as of this post they are listed at $5-$7). For those in humid climates where line drying takes longer, they might be an option to check into, although we do ok line drying towels in our own home, sometimes having them dry in a few hours instead of overnight would be nice!

Here's where to find them:
