Contrary to popular myth, the best way to remove a tick isn't with a hot match or liquid soap. Use a fine pair of TWEEZERS, and get as close to the skin as possible before pulling the tick straight out. Try not to twist as you remove. Clean the area afterwards with some alcohol or soap, and watch for any sign of infection in the coming days.
