Where else do you use bakeware besides in the kitchen? Well outside of course! They can make great play pieces for kids, here are a few ways to put them to use:

Although the idea of letting your toddler run wild with your brownie pan seems a little odd, sending them out with metal pans is a great way for them to make mud pies that look like what Mom makes! Well, hopefully not, but you get the idea.

They rinse clean and are even great for molding sand castles. For fun, try burying something for them to excavate in dried mud with a toothbrush and small tools. It will keep them entertained for hours and they'll be excited to dig up whatever you buried a few days prior!

If you don't want to use your good set, try looking for thrifty ones around town. What do your kids love to use outside that really live indoors? Let us know below!
