This is truly an inspired idea... one that makes us want to rush right out and copy it ourselves. Abby, of the site Hi + Low, took four of Muji's city map kerchiefs – representing Paris, New York, London and Tokyo – and stitched them together to create this beautiful quilt for her baby boy.
Even if you're a beginner quilter, this is a totally do-able DIY, and one that now has us thinking about hitting up thrift stores for cool quiltable kerchiefs with other motifs, like stripes, paisley and floral patterns.
See Abby's post, which also shows the two other baby quilts she made while pregnant. And if you're thinking of trying this project for yourself, you can order the very affordable Muji map handkerchiefs here.

Ooooh I really love that. Too bad I have absolutely no sewing skills.
Oh man, wish I'd thought of that 2 weeks ago - I was in NYC and hit multiple Muji stores. Awesome quilt! Maybe they'll open one here in SF...
Genius.
