Quinn's Big Boy Room with Black Accents

My Room

Name: Quinn (2)
Location: San Diego, California

After 8 years of working in Interior Design under other companies (H.Johnson Interiors, Ethan Allen and Mixture), I finally went out on my own. After taking a break to have my own two boys I found inspiration to specialize in design for nursery, kids' rooms and playrooms. I completed my first project with my son's room - he is two and just got his first big boy bed.

We just transitioned from the crib where his little brother X (7 months) now sleeps. This room features a mix of vintage and modern pieces. His bed has been repainted black; it used to be his uncle's. The Peanuts pillow is one that his grandmother made for her son (Quinn's Dad) along with the quilt hanging on the cabinet. We used a vintage hand-me-down bookcase and converted a vintage wash cabinet as his night stand.

The modern pieces include a Kartell Louis Ghost chair and stool, the Rabbit Lamp by Dutch Company Moooi and original art by local San Diego artists Tim Caton and Theresa Vandenberg Donche.

Thanks, Rachel! Readers, you can see more of Quinn's room at MollieQuinn Rad Rooms for Baby & Kids.
