Huh? We're supposed to help Warren and Mimi complete the list of their sources?
Jukesgirl -
Nope, you are helping the editors/community/future readers. For this latest version of Roommarks, we're pulling great pics from older house tours and adding a source list. If we have the info from the tour residents/homeowners original post, or if we know/can find the info ourselves, we include it. If we are missing the info, we leave it open for all of the smart folks in the Apartment Therapy community to help complete it.
Thanks for asking!
Love the Roommarks & have been thankful more than once for those who could add to the sources. Unfortunately, I have little to offer...most of my resources are found here, lol.
That said, I'd be interested in hearing a review on those high chairs from someone with experience. Actually, curious would be a better word here. Interesting room overall.
@Discerning We have 2 of the Svan highchairs. Our kids used them from the time they were about 5 months old. We bought one with the detachable tray table. The plastic tray is a big help and machine washable. The cloth covers on the chairs are durable and machine washable and come in many colors (so do the chairs, in different wood). When one child outgrew the tray but not the chair, we put the tray on the new baby's chair. Our kids are 8, 6 and 3. They all still use the chairs (without tray of course). The seat height is adjustable. They climb on it and bang them around and the chairs have withstood it all; they are put together with Allen wrenches. Maybe once a year I check each screw. I like that even though the boys are older, their feet don't dangle from regular height dining chairs. They can sit comfortably resting their feet on the bottom pedestal of the Svan chairs. I sit on them sometimes too. I'm 112 lbs.
@discerning My son is 7.5 and still uses his Svan chair too. We bought it new when he was about 6 or 7 months old. At the time the plastic tray wasn't an option but the wooden tray still looked great. In fact, you don't have to use it very long because the Svan allows babies/toddlers to belly up to the dining table with the rest of the family.
The Svan has a small footprint too. It has been one of our best purchases for our child.
@ Eastbaymama & erikakn: Thank you both! Exactly the details I was looking for. My dd is about to be surprised;)
I also have a Svan that we loved for small footprint and use as a toddler chair. I plan to list on CraigsList if you are in Boston area and want it, let me know.
Thanks for the heads-up Holiday05 but I'm in the deep south. Wish I were close enough to scoop your treasure up!
