The R601P Tube Hi-Fi FM/AM Classic Radio is a brand new take on an old idea. Available without a time machine, there are several high-end, hi-fi models to choose from. Let one take you back to a time of rich, creamery radio voices and constant references to the World's Fair.

The R601P is an entirely NEW radio that is filled with all NEW parts but uses actual tubes to amplify its mono speaker. The blue light visible in the bottom left of the chassis is called a "Magic Eye" and softly flickers as sweet sounds are pulled nostalgically from the airwaves. A subwoofer is optional:) This is one of many offerings available from Shenzhen Jidian Technology Company, most of which have inputs for mp3 players and such.

If Stereophonic Sound is your bag, there is also the R601SW (among others):

Dont you just love the juxtapostion of the Chinese calligraphy with the rounded (solid wood) curves of the radio? Reminds us here in the West that we aren't the only ones who went through that time period! There is a huge resurgence of tube-aholism all over the world, but it is especially well developed in Asia.

Pick up the RP601P and the R601SW at Quest for Sound in Pennsylvania at www.questforsound.com.
