Though we were delighted by the unusually warm weather in the mid-Atlantic last week, we are now suffering from the inevitable after effect- an unusually high pollen count so early in the season. Though OTC medications are keeping my entire family functional, we have been debating the wisdom of investing in some kind of air purifier to clean some of the allergens from the air itself. Though many of the purifiers we've seen are rather ugly, this sleek little unit comes in four colors that would look at home in any modern space.
The Rabbit Air BioGS is designed to remove a wide variety of allergens and contaminants from the air, including dust, pollens, dander, odors, and chemical vapors, apparently more efficiently than traditional HEPA purifiers. The advanced bio-engineered fiber filter traps and destroys a host of common allergens, and lasts up to three years. This purifier also comes with a washable charcoal-based activated carbon deodorization filter for the removal of odors, harmful gases, and chemicals.
The Rabbit Air covers up to 600 square feet, and should run silently at low speed, a nice feature if you want to run it in the bedroom. Its charcoal-based honeycomb activated carbon filter is washable for easy clean-up, and the Rabbit Air also ships with a remote control and a five-year warranty. Measuring 18.0W x 22.5H x 9.0D inches and weighing only 17 pounds, the Rabbit Air does seem ideally sized for small space living.
This unit has lots of good reviews on Amazon, but before shelling out $330 we would love to hear from any readers who have used this (or another) air purifier.
