Radio Active Wants You to Work For That Station

We at Unplggd enjoy technology that is disguised as something else, so when we spotted Radio Active we could not help but blog about it. What looked at first glance to be artwork, Radio Active, is actually an eye catching concept analog radio from industrial design grad student Erez Bar Am that requires physical effort on the part of the user in order to change the station.

While not forcing you to break a sweat, Radio Active does require some effort to tune to the right station. Is this a radio for everyone? Definitely not. We think though that the concept is fun and the design makes it a radio that is worth a second look if you are in the market for an interesting piece of wall art that could double as a radio or an interesting radio that could double as wall art.

What do you think? Would you purchase Radio Active should it come to market?
