I love the brightness of this apartment. There are windows in every room and the white walls and wood trim are so beautiful. I recently moved to Chicago from Brooklyn, and this home is bigger than my previous small spaces, so it's been fun to have a little bit more room to play with.

Fill your home with what you really love. Especially in a small space, there isn't a lot of room to keep things you aren't completely crazy about. I find if I stick to what I really love and build on that piece by piece, I have a home that truly reflects me and my style.
Mirrors help brighten everything and make a small space seem bigger. This can be especially helpful if you don't have a lot of windows or natural light.
Always make your bed. In a small space this makes a huge difference, even if you aren't going to be hanging out in your bedroom. I think it helps set the tone for the rest of your home--and how great it is to come in to a beautiful bed at the end of the day?
