Apparently, our previous post on these rain gutter bookshelves, inspired Beth to create her own when she redesigned her son's room.
What a great nook to curl up with a book before bed, and who needs Saturday morning cartoons when you can wake up to a row of books to choose from?
Beth also took the color inspiration from another post here on Ohdeedoh, Surprise Room Designed by Dad.
Thanks for sharing Beth!
Anyone else have a rain gutter project?

White Enamel Flatwa...
What a beautiful space! Way to go, Beth!
Is is possible to share a close up picture of how the gutters are attached? I was inspired by the previous post as well and have been curious how it looks and works.
I LOVE that bed! Where is it from?
Does anyone know what bed this is? I can't seem to locate it by searching online. The space looks great!
meghan and momma -- I found the bed on Craigslist...I'm told it's originally from Dania. I would guess that it's at least five years old. It's very solid, and I like that it's low. I admired the Flexa beds (www.shoptflexa.com) featured on this blog for the same reason, and went searching for a more affordable option.
kelly -- The brackets holding up the shelves screw into the wall (the center ones are attached to the stud to make sure it stays up). We made a little mistake when doing the bookshelves...we bought the brackets for a different kind of gutter. So a close up photo would show you that the brackets are just a little too shallow. Normally they would just snap right onto the gutter. I may need to buy new gutters or new brackets, though it's pretty stable in any case.
Oops, that should have been www.shopflexa.com.

I first read about rain gutter bookshelves when I was a teacher. I never did them in my classroom but now I wish I had. They were so easy to install. My daughter (20 months) loves it. It has really widened her book selection.
Thanks for the details, Beth, and for all the wonderful inspiration, Everyone!
