I was jumping in puddles with my toddler and as luck would have it, we spotted a glamorous rainbow. He was delighted, to say the least. Upon reflection, he asked "Take it home?" I tried to think of an explanation, but decided to tell him we would make our own. Looking for a rainbow connection in your home?

There was quite a bit of rainbow design inspiration online, but I narrowed it down to adding just a little burst of color to my small space. Here are a few of my favorites:

Photo One: I adore this staircase. I would like to build a second level just so I could include something similar in my home! Not a practical idea for most of us, but an inspirational notion perhaps? I do have an attic ladder that I could transform…

Photo Two: These rainbow acrylic chairs are lovely. The combination with the white "lofty" space gives the entire design an ethereal rainbow quality. Find similar chairs here.

Photo Three: Adding bursts of color to a kitchen cabinet is my favorite way to make a small but fun change in my home. Start scouring your local thrift shop for vintage cups, bowls and vases for a cheap and chic rainbow fix. Anthroplogie is also a great source for colorful ceramics and glassware.

Photo Four: I am so enamoured with this rainbow wall! I want to create something similar in my home. Maybe on the closet door in my little one's bedroom. I think this would be fabulous on an entry wall too…if I only had one!
