Gelatin is an inspirational food, almost like a box of crayons. What? Those aren't food? That explains why the color blueberry never tasted very good...(we kid). Staring at their intense color combinations always has us saying, I want a chair that's this blue, or wallpaper that's this green! Do you find decor inspiration in food? Let us know after the jump!
We're not the only ones who find color inspiration in foods, head to your local hardware store and check out the paint-chip names. There's as many food based colors (green-apple) as there are nature inspired colors (cool breeze). So next time your family sits down to enjoy a meal, take note as to the colors that you're eating.
Bonus points to those who design their rooms around foodie color choices! We can't wait to name an Ohdeedoh Room Tour "Mike's Meat & Potatoes Place!"

Funny. I just put up a Jello post too! I made a little green and white striped treat just in time for St. Patrick's Day!

What' s up with all the rainbow food?
sue...rainbows are fun!!!
I'm enjoying the rainbow posts...especially since it's the theme for my daughter's next birthday party!
I've actually made these before, but added corresponding fruit to each layer (though we added pears to the blue since we couldn't get blueberries). Next time though, I may just use a few flavors and combine them for the orange and green layers, since seven flavors was a little overwhelming for the kids.
Sue,
I made these for my kids for St. Patrick's Day. I topped them with whipped cream (clouds) and nilla wafers (gold coins). Just a fun way to celebrate the holiday.
