Many rainwater collection solutions involve barrels and, often, are easiest if you're a homeowner. Enter the Raindrop Mini. It's great for multi-unit complexes for use on balconies and for small gardens and connects to the downspout of your rain gutter.
The Raindrop Mini is the little brother of Bas van der Veer's Raindrop, which won the René Smeets award in 2009 (and which we wrote about here). Its integrated watering can fills up automatically when it rains, making it really easy to use rain water instead of tap water to water the indoor and outdoor plants.
Made of recyclable PE by Dutch pottery firm Elho and available for sale in garden centres across Europe. Available in several fresh colours and sold separately in two sizes: 3,5 liter (fits in de Raindrop Mini) and 5 liter (fits in the regular Raindrop). My only question is: when can we buy these in North America?
