Rainwater Hog at Dwell on Design

My Grandma was an avid gardener and was committed to all the things we consider to be green today, but back the in the day were just smart gardening. She had a compost pile (and strict rules for what went into it) and always put out buckets to catch the rainwater. We saw this modern version of her technique at Dwell on Design:

The Rainwater Hog hooks up to your rain gutters and stores your rainwater (up to 47 gallons in each hog) for you to use in the garden later. You can either mount some hogs to the back or side of your house or you can put them below a deck. This way you don't end up using water from the hose when you need to water the garden, and since it;s enclosed you won't be breeding mosquitos in the summer. And my grandmother always claimed that plants are happier with rainwater. Find all the details on the Water Hog here
