It's been raining steadily for a few days here in Seattle, and there's only more of that to come. This week I've got Thanksgiving to distract me from the gray and damp, but I can't spend the rest of my winter baking pies and cakes. I've always wanted to try origami, but never had the patience. Now it seems a fine way to pass an afternoon.
At Origami Nut, check out YouTube tutorials for projects ranging from a simple eight-point star to complex interlocking triangular prisms. The visual instruction makes it especially understandable.
Looking through the different examples, I thought of at least a half-dozen ways to bring these beautiful origami projects into the home. Bookmark it for another rainy day.

How gorgeous, what skill. I tried to learn origami from books, too frustrating, then picked up a couple of easy ones from direct teaching. I'm bookmarking this, thanks.
love origami, haven't seen many of these designs before. thanks!
I recently made a bunch of origami butterflies to decorate a concrete wall in my apartment. They look great and it was soothing to fold them. I am hooked!
