Randall Littleton's Imac Stuff: From Lamps to Clocks

The iMac G4 was one of Apple's most beautifully-designed computers Cuppertino ever made. When the newer G5s appeared, people were disappointed because the G4 just looked so good. An enterprising modder has started creating lamps out of the iMac G4s, and we have to say that they look quite good as well.

Randall doesn't only modify iMac G4s, he also creates some cool-looking clocks from them. The lamps are really nice. His last one just sold and you can send him an email to get on the waiting list. It all depends on how quickly he can get his hands on more G4s. All of the iMac G4 lamps sell for $125, which isn't bad, from his Etsy store.

The clocks are cheaper, at only $30. Once again, you'll need to proceed the same way, to ensure that you'll get your fab iMac clock. This type of of clock or lamp will definitely be welcome by any Apple addict, so it's also a good idea as a gift for Christmas. You just have to make sure that one will be available in time.

All in all, it's a good idea to reuse these iconic computers for something better than the scrap pile. Inventive uses of old tech are interesting to see because they put the technology into a new light, pardon the pun.
