The Ravenscroft Desk is a beautiful piece of furniture with elegant lines. In addition to the well crafted assembly and sleek design, I appreciate this desk's lack of drawers. I know if I had this desk I would be forced to confront my clutter problem.
The Ravenscroft Desk is designed by Leonhard Pfeifer. In Pfeifer's own words:
"Ravenscroft Desk - characterised by functionality, essentiality of form and purity of materials, the Ravenscroft desk was designed to look striking from any angle so it could sit in the middle of a room instead of pushed up against a wall."
Leonhard Pfeifer also makes a commitment to sustainability through quality. As they say:
"Antique furniture is a good example of this. Furniture can last a lifetime, or many lifetimes. Quality is the key - quality in design, quality in manufacture, quality in materials, and quality in care...Working with manufacturers, we question material selection and manufacturing processes, investigating alternatives that may lead to better ecological outcomes. In this we consider not just sustainability but look to wider environmental impacts including carbon footprint, and total energy input."
If you had a desk that showed you everything you stored in or near it, would you be more likely to purge unnecessary items?
