Razer is a PC gaming peripherals maker with a penchant for offering brutalist-angular designs that remind us a lot of something secretly developed by Wayne Industries for Batman. Subtle they are not, but we have to admit we stopped dead in our tracks when we spied several of their latest mice and keyboards, a few using what they call 4G Dual Sensor technology, many embellished with multi-colored LED lights around and within. Oooh, all those lights and buttons...
Most notable was Razer's keyboard and mouse combination designed specifically for the upcoming title, Star Wars: The Old Republic. Besides the sharp angles and color LED lighting distinguishing these gamer peripherals from their more staid input device brethren, the special edition keyboard sports a LCD track panel with built-in multi-touch and programmable tactile keys for easy macros access (aka "keyboard shortcuts for gamers"). A matching mouse has even more programmable options, practically a keyboard itself, with the majority of the 17 buttons situated on the thumb-side for quick player access. This mouse also receives the LED treatment (dimmable), with a dedicated charging dock and even switch out panels to customize according to which faction you represent in the game.
Also behind display cases were Razer's latest laser 4G Dual Sensor wireless mice (a precise combination of optical and laser sensors for 6400 dpi tracking), glowing and glaring menacingly. The Razer Mamba doesn't need to be recharged until 16 hours of continuous use, so you can get your CoD action in without recharging via a docking station to often.
