Chic and cardboard are rarely seen in the same sentence, but those are two descriptors of San Francisco-based designer Ben Goldstein's Re-Ply chair. Made from 4 layers of former furniture boxes, the base is cut by jigsaw, glued together, and then folded and bolted to form the seat (which rocks). Surprisingly durable, the seat can be left uncovered, or you can get it upholstered with fur or felt or printed with a pattern or your logo. The Re-Ply Kickstarter campaign runs for 16 more days.

Cardboard has an extremely high acid content... I wonder how that would hold up and what it would do to fabric?
looks quite pretty, but no way to use, if you are over 130 pds - sorry. and in the modern western world more than 80% of the human population is over 130.
A perfect combination of the two things my cat likes to wreck the most.
These are gorgeous chairs - I've sat in them. The remind me of early Eames seating.
A friend who weights 230lbs sits in them with no problems - I think people are just skeptical of new technologies. As for acid content - never heard of this. Think about all the clothing and fabrics shipped and stored in boxes all over the world!
