Next week an important exhibit will be hitting Hong Kong, a definite must-see for any Mid-Century admirers and Eames enthusiasts.
REACH Hong Kong 2011 is a collaboration between Herman Miller and the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI). This will be the very first Herman Miller exhibition to be showcased in Asia...
The REACH exhibit will display the latest Herman Miller designs and showcase the traveling exhibition Essential Eames. There will also be the Asia Pacific finals of the Aeron Hockey Championship (which I attended at Saturday InDesign) and an impressive list of guest speakers including Don Chadwick (co-designer of the ground-breaking Aeron chair) and Eames Demetrios (Director of The Eames Office and grandson of the famous design duo Charles and Ray Eames).
This event starts September 16th and runs through December 3rd and will be held at the Hong Kong Design Institute. Check the events schedule for specific times and to register for the event.
