She states, "I am a daily reader of your site and always enjoy the tips from others. We just finished making a mobile for our little one on the way and thought we would share the project...having dabbled in origami before, I thought about using maps as the paper for an origami mobile."
Her materials for the mobile (which was made with items she already had on hand) include:
• branch
• spray paint (optional)
• thin paper, cut in varying size squares
• fishing line
• sewing needle
• clear tape
• twine
• hooks

Very sweet.
A good friend made me something similar when I moved away from the city of Boston. He used the "T" map (the subway system) as the origami paper. I ended up naming my first child Boston a few years later, and now the mobile my friend made me hangs in her room.
What brand and color is the green paint on the walls?
I love the red paint on the branch!!
