What if you could sit down with the head of a furniture company? Would you tell them exactly what you're looking for and what you haven't been able to find? Now's your chance.
We've teamed up with our friends at Furniture/Today, the weekly trade newspaper for the furniture industry, to bring you this Winter Decorating 2013 survey. After submitting your answers, you'll have the opportunity to enter to win a $100 American Express gift card.* Thanks for your input and good luck in the drawing!
We want to know what your decor style is, how you use the different spaces in your home, and what colors you're interested in seeing more of in 2013. We're dedicated to the topic of contemporary living at home, and we want your input!

That section about couches having docking stations, massage machines and a refrigerator? Eeeee-Gad!! I hope it's not coming to that!!
yeah that was a weird question. for laying down to watch tv should have been an option
agreed. that couch section was horrifying. made me think of the humans in Wall-E.
When I first saw this post I was all excited because I thought I could actually tell them about some items that I want but can't find --
1. a 30" modern console table (they never come smaller than 36")
2. a good quality plush rug that doesn't shed (no shiny polyester shag need apply)
3. a freestanding kitchen island that is 30"-36"w x 35"h x 25" deep
Anyhow, I'm pretty sure any company that wants to know if I prefer cup holders in my sofa is not going to have any styles that appeal to my taste.
You could have stated somewhere at the beginning of the survey that it is for US-residents only :-(
sorry, have to ask, where did that clock come from? i love it!
The only thing in that whole list of stuff I'd want in a sofa would be heated seats. But if they affected how the sofa looked at all, I'd be happy to nix them.
Me too but figured it would affect the look sonI checked "no".
"affect the look so I".
yeah, some questions were slightly weird but I enjoyed it. =)
I learned that I won't do anything different than I do now until my income at least doubles (haha).
Why did they not include an option for those who work at home? Especially on a site where many contributors work from home. I had to say I was unemployed. How ridiculous.
Took the survey but yeah, the couch questions; not interested in any of those features. They were more approp for 'Fraternity Therapy'.
Which rooms do you use to have sex? Oh forget it, I don't have to answer your stupid survey!
hahaha yeah the sex one was funny and it was right above dine, and I nearly clicked the wrong boxes, I almost said we had sex in our outdoor room which would have scared the neighbors.
I agree with all the other post about the 'extras' in a chair/sofa. Don't need them.
I skipped the sex question. I didn't feel it was a necessary question regarding the furniture you buy. If you're having sex in every room of your home, I don't really think comfort is what is really on your mind. :o)
